Colourpop- It’s My Pleasure Palette
In my world, its time that purple become the new pink. I feel like the makeup market is soooo over saturated with pink and red eyeshadow. Personally, I am ready to add some new purple and green palettes to my collect, so I picked up the new It’s My Pleasure palette from Colourpop.
When I went to purchase the palette, I also picked up the new BFF Mascara in Purple Prose and the Creme Gel Liners in Piggy Bank and Cry Baby. I was so pumped to rock all my new purple makeup and to create a fun purple eye for Valentine’s Day. However, when I got the palette in, several of the shimmer shadows had come loose. Everything also looked more pink than purple to me. Luckily, I was able to press the shadows back in place so I didn’t have to wait for Colourpop to send me a replacement.
Here are the shades, top to bottom:

I am so happy to report that overall, these shadows are definitely purple. ???? If you look at the three different eye looks, you can see that is it possible to do both pink and purple looks.
While powdery, that matte shades all built up and blended well. I was able to wear each looks all day without can fading or creasing. The shimmers are so pretty, but the formula is really soft. This palette would be impossible to travel with because the shimmer shades would for sure break. I also think that they would perform best with a tacky base or glitter glue.
Overall, I am happy with this palette. I think it is unique in my collection, affordable and easy to use. I also really loved the purple mascara and the gel liners. While I do love this palette, I am keen to find even more purple shadows to add to my collection.
